Lower Back Pain Relief
Lower back pain, or back pain and sciatica as such, need to be understood if we are going to get any definite lower back relief.
Apart from violent trauma and injury, back pain does not develop overnight. It takes weeks, months even years to develop and the sufferer would not know that something is happening within till the back actually starts to hurt.
Contrary to common belief, back pain is very rarely the outcome of a onetime accident.
Let us look at the notes from an interesting case study.
A young father installed a baby gate at the bottom of the stairs, when his son started walking. Out of sheer laziness, one would suppose, he used to lift his leg and step over the gate every time he wanted to climb the stairs. He found it too laborious having to open the gate and close it every time he needed to go upstairs.
Now the interesting part of it is that he did this about 30 times a day. He performed the innocent task of lifting his leg and stepping over a low baby gate more than 30 times a day.
Lo and behold, one weekend while he was mowing the lawn he felt severe radiating pain just above his buttocks, in his lower back.
A few days later, suddenly while walking he felt the same pain, a bit more intense this time.
This young father had started a process of muscle imbalance when the first stepped over that baby gate. This imbalance developed into this acute back pain.
Every one of us are performing innocent acts that are creating processes of muscle imbalance.
Driving to work, sitting at a desk or some other seemingly innocent routine activity we perform over and over again is creating a process of muscle imbalance that would manifest itself in lower back pain some point in the future.
What is muscle imbalance one may ask?
Most everyone who drives a car has had at some time discovered that there is uneven wear and tear on his tyres. How does that happen? Because the front end is out of alignment. Heard of wheel balancing? That is it. Imbalance caused the uneven wear and tear of the tyres.
Balance the wheels, and the tyres wear even again.
Imagine what muscle imbalance can do to the areas of the body it has to support? Causes Pain, and more pain.
When the muscle imbalance is corrected, the condition that causes the pain ceases, hence no more pain.
It is very simple to find out where these muscle imbalances and postural dysfunctions in the human body are. It takes about 30 minutes if you know what to look for and where to look for it.
At this stage readers must understand that X-rays, MRIs, and CT (cat) scans do not reveal muscle imbalances or postural imbalance.
Having found out where these imbalances are, one can work toward correcting them by doing a combination of targeted exercises, stretches, and self treatments specifically designed to the condition of the individual concerned.
To your successful lower back pain treatment.
